Given the ever increasing number of clinical trials there is a growing need for trained and certified professionals who shall run or assist in running clinical trials. This need for trained and certified clinical research associate professionals has gotten even more acute due to the Covid pandemic scenario world over.
In order to facilitate meeting this skilled resource gap, Peerless Skill Academy has announced a PG Diploma course - “Clinical Research Associate”. This course is offered by Peerless Skill Academy, in collaboration with Peerless Hospital and Life Science Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India (GoI).
This is a PG Diploma program.
Diploma shall be from Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
Graduates and post graduates in science, medicine and dental sciences, Bachelor in Pharmacy and Bachelor in Nursing are eligible to apply for this program.
This 1 year PG diploma program comprises 2 semesters. In the 2nd semester apprenticeship is mandatory for students (at hospitals/ research labs/ pharma cos.).
It will come with a bonus opportunity to earn 9000/- pm as stipend under the NAPS scheme of Govt of India.
Program Director for this Diploma course is Dr Subhrojyoti Bhowmick.Dr Bhowmick is the Clinical Director, Research and Academics at Peerless Hospital, Kolkata. Dr Bhowmick has over 14 years of experience in clinical trials and has been associated with the Stanford University School of Medicine, USA as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. He has been a Principal Investigator of many clinical trials, especially the Sputnik vaccine trial to name a few.
